Densmore receives recognition for promoting the Agriculture Industry

The Agricultural Awareness Award is celebrated 15 years of recognizing individuals and groups for their contribution to promoting the Agriculture Industry in Nova Scotia. Recognition has been given over the years to many groups and individuals throughout the province for their hard work and dedication to increasing awareness of the importance of Agriculture.
Recognition alternates between individuals and groups. The 2009 Award called for nomination of an Individual.
Beth Densmore was nominated by the Hants County Federation of Agriculture has a true passion for the Industry. She takes great pride in the work of the farm community and takes every possible opportunity to chat about agriculture. Beth is closely involved with industry promotion and education through her participation as co-chair on the AgAwareness committee. Over this past year, she could be found volunteering at events such as AgCot at the Fall Fair, AgriFun at the Apple Blossom Festival and reading stories to students for AgLiteracy Week. Beth continues to make time to support her local events such as Hants County Exhibition coordinating an eye-catching interactive display each year. She also takes part in various career fairs to educate students on all the opportunities within the Industry.
The work and extra effort that Beth puts forward reaches everyone, from students, their teachers, general consumers, and government.
Beth, also 1st Vice President of the N.S. Federation of Agriculture, never hesitates to volunteer her time and energy to promote the Nova Scotia farm community. A true ambassador for the industry, Beth Densmore was presented with the 2009 Agricultural Awareness Award.
