The Nova Scotia Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) Program is an educational program, delivered by the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. The EFP program helps farmers identify and assess environmental risks on their properties and enables farmers to incorporate environmental considerations into their everyday business decisions.
The EFP Program is confidential, practical, available at no cost, and suitable for all farms.

  • The NS Environmental Farm Stewardship Award 2018 was presented to Michael Lightfoot of Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards, Wolfville, NS. The winner of the annual award receives a cash prize as well as a custom painting of their farm. In 2018, the custom painting was by Windsor based artist Kelly Mitchelmore.
