Special Recognition

  1. Jason Van Der Linden, Antigonish, for his scholarship proposal to set up a program to encourage the donation of retired dairy cows from local farms to the Food Banks. Farm Credit Corporation provided $3,000. towards the costs of implementing this project which resulted in the donation of 12 cows to the Food Bank in addition to those listed above.
  2. The publicity surrounding the “Beef Up The Food Banks” program inspired donations which were made direct from farmers to community Food Banks, for which we have no records as to the amount.
